Admission

Thank you for your interest in the School of Professional Psychology at Wright State University!

For more than 35 years, the Wright State University School of Professional Psychology has offered a doctoral degree program that is both stimulating and innovative, integrating academic and theoretical course work with hands-on clinical experience.

We are committed to diversity in training our students and in our learning and work environment. If you are looking for a clinical psychology program that provides you with the skills to become a culturally competent health service psychologist and will enhance you intellectually, personally, and professionally, then we invite you to apply.

We practice a holistic application review process that considers the many unique qualities each applicant presents. In short, we work to assemble a class consistent with the mission of the school.

The steps that comprise the application process are manageable under normal conditions, but grow in complexity and consequence depending upon when you begin the application process, the number of programs you consider, and other variables. (So, plan and apply accordingly.)

This process is closely monitored by our director of admissions and the selection committee who want to present your interests authentically and ethically to our faculty during the review period. We use an application portal to collect your information. You may visit the portal as often as you need prior to completing and uploading your materials. Please contact us if you are interested in our program or have questions at sopp1@wright.edu.

Our director of admissions, Mr. Audwin Jones, can be reached at (937) 775-3353.
